Homemade Southern Sausage Gravy

1/2 lb sausage

1/4 c. flour

2 c. milk

1 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp salt

8 prepared biscuits (buttermilk white lily are the BEST)

Crumble and cook sausage over medium heat until browned. In a mixing cup, which milk, flour, and salt/pepper until dissolved. Gradually stir into sausage until all of the milk mix is mixed with sausage. Let the mixture heat up, until it starts to bubble, stir occasionally, but watch closely- this typically takes less than 5 mins. It will start to thicken, and as it does, decrease the heat gradually. (Down to lowest when it has reached preferred consistency.) Serve hot over biscuits.
