Grain-Free Banana Pancakes & Blackberry Chia Seed Syrup

My children are pancake fanatics. With the temporary removal of grains in our diets, we have been experimenting with new pancake recipes.

Although, squash pancakes are my favorite, banana pancakes are their favorite.

pancakes3Blackberry Chia Seed Syrup

  • 2 cups blackberries or any berry
  • 1 tablespoons honey {optional, these were tart blackberries}
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • a tiny squeeze of lemon juice
  1. In a blender, blend the berries or juice them if you have a juicer. ★If using a blender, remove the seeds with a sieve. {These were wild blackberries the kids picked over the summer so there can be a ton of seeds. You can skip this step if you don’t mind the seeds or are using another kind of berry.}
