During the cold, winter months, you may find yourself applying skin lotions more often than usual. Slathering rejuvenating cream on parched skin certainly feels fantastic, but locations such as your back are much more difficult to reach, and therefore don’t get the relief that the rest of your body does. Here are some dry skin remedies that will work to keep your back and shoulders just as hydrated and smooth as the rest of your body.

Step One: Bathing

Warm water is comforting in the cold weather, but don’t turn the heat up any higher. Warm water is less drying to the skin than hot. In addition, decrease the length of time you spend bathing to prevent dryness.

Choose a moisturizing shower gel or soap, and ensure no traces of it remain when you finish bathing.
