I love almond butter and I have my husband hooked on it too. Almonds reduce heart attack risk, lower bad cholesterol, build strong bones and teeth, protect artery walls from damage, help brain function, provide healthy fats, nourish the nervous system and alkalize the body. What’s not to love?
This weekend when I made up another batch I decided to flavor half of it and yummmmm is all I’ve got to say.
Ingredients
1 pound of raw almonds (about 3 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup raisins
2-3 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla
Directions
Spread the almonds on a cookie sheet and bake them for about 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes.
Put almonds in food processor and process for about 5 minutes. Scrape down the sides and process again for 5 more minutes. repeat this until you start to get a creamy texture…
