Cooking with Pop

This is a great, filling, very tasteful, and very hearty meal. The contrast between the crunchy red cabbage and the flavor of the onion and the broccoli, it is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.


  • 3 medium broccoli crowns
  • 1/2 medium red cabbage
  • 1/2 c. mayo
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil 
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds 
  • 1 c. chopped almonds or walnuts
  • 2 green onions
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 2 Tbsp. Dried Chopped Onions
  • 1-2 tsp. Sea Salt, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, Parsley


1 – Chop the broccoli crowns into small pieces. Steam in a large sauce pot for 2 minutes, just until the broccoli because a little soft. Drain broccoli and allow it to get to room temperature. Once cooked, transfer the broccoli to a large mixing bowl.
