You don’t have to spend a lot of money to enjoy beautiful flowers and the nutritional benefits of fresh veggies.

Whether your garden is in containers on the deck/patio or in the yard. Gardening can be done on a budget and practically any place you like.

My husband and I both love to work in the yard. We utilize both our deck and the yard for flowers and veggies.

I like to use seeds that I have harvested the previous season or from the produce section (NO COST FOR SEEDS).

Here are a few produce items that have worked for me.

I simply rinse the seeds, let them dry on paper towel. Then  plant directly into your garden or start inside when you are ready. *Note – with proper lighting and containers, you could possibly have fresh veggies all year-long.

  • Sweet Bell Pepper
  • Cucumber
  • Tomato
  • Watermelon
  • Muskmelon
  • Pumpkin
  • Squash
