Tasty Food for Picky Eaters

snowdrop cookiesDelicious! This is a cookie recipe that I learned from a family friend, and even though I usually don’t like chocolate cookies, these ended up being incredibly tasty. They aren’t too rich or sweet and have a nice chewy texture with a slight crunch. Feel free to add your own additional touch to this recipe (nuts, toffee, etc.) but I found that I enjoy these best plain and simple.


  • 4 squares (4 oz.) unsweetened chocolate (I use Baker’s Brand)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. dark brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 c. powdered sugar


  1. Place chocolate squares and butter in small saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until melted (Keep a keen eye on this so the chocolate doesn’t harden. The butter should help prevent this from happening.). Cool 15…
